  1. ODENSE CLASSIC CITY WALK (1 – 3 hours)
    Odense’s development from the Viking Age to the present: Odense Cathedral, H.C. Andersen’s House, old merchant houses and the transformation of Odense to a green city where sustainable choices are easy.
  2. A BRIEF HISTORY OF ODENSE (1 hour)
    The whole story of Odense seen from the monumental square, Flakhaven, with the cathedral, the city hall and the lively walking street quarter. This tour is suitable for people with walking disabilities.

    A few steps from Odense’s main walking street and attractions, Odense hides a variety of exciting urban spaces: old merchant backyards, narrow passages and small, charming streets.
  5. ODENSE HARBOUR IN TRANSFORMATION (1 – 2 hours)
    Odense Harbour is the only canal harbour in Denmark and was built in the beginning of the 19th century. Today the harbour is in transformation from an important industrial port to a new and exciting urban area with residential buildings, a culture house The North Atlantic House, plenty of free sport-friendly activities and street art.
  6. ART IN ODENSE (1 – 3 hours)
    The centre of Odense is filled with art. Classical statues, modern sculptures, art fountains and street art in Odense are worth exploring. The artworks speak about the city’s history and identity.
  7. THE VIKING ODENSE (1 – 3 hours)
    Odense city has 1,000-year-old roots in the Viking Age in Denmark. Nonnebakken is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Deep underground is the remains of a royal Viking castle. In the cathedral’s crypt, you can see the skeleton of King Canute the Holy who was also a skilled Viking.
  8. EGESKOV CASTLE AND PARK (castle 1 hour, park 1½ hours. Entrance fee)
    Egeskov Castle is one of Europe’s best preserved water castles and built in the 16th century. Count Ahlefeldt and his family live in the castle and invite visitors to come inside and see the beautiful halls. The castle is idyllically located in a park that has won several
    garden prices.
  9. BUS TOUR IN FYN (3 – 5 hours)
    Fyn is an island covered in gardens, woods and parks. Fyn is known as Denmark’s Garden. Experience splendid landscapes, castles and manor houses and the archipelago’s most charming small market towns.
  10. IN THE FOOTSTEPS OF HANS CHRISTIAN ANDERSEN (1 – 3 hours)
    In the heart of old Odense Hans Christian Andersen was a child in the beginning of the 19th century. There are numerous buildings and places reminding of Denmark’s world-famous writer of fairy tales.

    Explore Hans Christian Andersen’s fairy tale universe in Hans Christian Andersen Garden and in The Fairy Tale Garden by Odense River.
  12. FAIRY TALE SCULPTURES IN ODENSE (1 – 3 hours)
    In parks and in the streets in Odense there are sculptures inspired by the fairy tales of Hans Christian Andersen, among these The Emperor’s New Clothes, The little Mermaid and Thumbelina.
