● ODENSE GUIDED CITYWALK (1 – 3 hours)
Guided cultural city walks in Odense. Hear about the history of Odense. About the buildings and squares in the city, the churches, monasteries, schools and hear stories about the locals.
● H.C. ANDERSENS FOOTSTEPS (1 – 3 hours)
Cultural city walk with focus on the famous fairy tale writer Hans Christian Andersen and Odense at the time he lived. He was born in Odense and lived in the city for 14 years. This tour is designed to combine with at visit at H. C. Andersens Museum and/or his childhood home in Munkemøllestræde.
● VIKINGS, KINGS AND MERCHANTS (1-3 hours)
In 980’s a huge Wiking-castle was build I Odense near River Odense. The important market town was from Middle Ages protected and guarded to secure and protect privileged crafts and trade, and to ensure efficient collection of taxes. Therefore, access to the market towns was controlled and regulated by guarded city gates. The city had a limited extent and a limited population compared to present-day Odense.
● THE TRANSFORMATION (1-2 hours)
About how the city changed when a four laned traffic road was build dividing the City in two for many years. Recently the road is closed, and a new city area build connecting the divided city again.
● SKT. KNUDS CHURCH – THE CATHEDRAL (1 hour)
Odense Cathedral is one of Denmark’s most magnificent churches. In the crypt you will find King Knud’s sacred bones and more royal tombs. In the choir you will see the famous golden altarpiece, commissioned by the Danish Queen Christine.
● TOWN HALL TOUR (1 hour)
Odense City Hall is located in the middle of the city’s old center Flakaven and consists of an older and a newer part. Experience the town hall and the old squares
around it. Hear about the old markets and how the place has changed over time.
● ODENSE HARBOUR (1 – 2 hours)
Odense is not a coastal city and we only got our harbour in the early 1800s, when the five-kilometer-long Odense canal was dug. A lot has happened since. After working as one of the busiest industrial ports of Denmark for more than 150 years, the port is today being transformed into a new exciting area with modern constructions, canals and a budding cultural life.
● THOMAS B. THRIGES FACTORIES (1-2 hours)
City-tour in Thomas B. Thriges factory area. The tour starts with an introduction to the industrialization off Odense in the 19th and 20th century and the story of Thomas B. Thrige and the production he founded and grew in Odense.
● THE FUNEN VILLAGE (1 – 2 hours)

Experience the Funen Village. A Museum with old buildings established as a village looked in H.C. Andersen’s lifetime, in the 19th century. During our tour in the village, we visit selected houses, farms and mills. And you will hear about the village life of that time.
● FOOD CULTURE/FOOD HISTORY
Combine my tours with culinary experience and history of local food. It’s possible to bring a food basket on my tours. I can also bring a food basket that fits the ordered tour (demands prepayment as agreed in advance). It’s also possible to combine my tours with a visit in a restaurant or café.

● EGESKOV – castle and park (castle 1 hour / park 1 – 1 – 2 hours)

Egeskov is one of Europe’s best-preserved water castles, built just after the medieval era. The castle is located in a fantastic park, which has several times been voted one of the most beautiful in the world. always look forward to showing the place to my guests.
