- BYVANDRINGER I ODENSE (1 – 3 timer)
Se og hør om byens historie, byens huse, virksomheder, pladser og grønne områder.Hør om gamle Odense, som allerede i vikingetiden var en vigtig by. I 980 blev der opført ringborge i Danmark. En af dem lå i Odense og både arkæologer og historikere arbejder med at undersøge ringborgen. Odense skulle beskyttes og bevogtes også for at sikre konge, kirke, håndværk og handel – samt opkrævning af skatter.Adgangen til Odense gik via bevogtede byporte. Odense var en af rigets største byer, men havde meget få indbyggere sammenlignet med nutidens Odense.
Hør om Odense domkirke som er en af Danmarks største kirker. I krypten findes et skrin med kong Knud 4.s hellige knogler og flere kongelige begravelser. I kirkens kor findes den skønne altertavle som Claus Berg fremstillede på bestilling fra dronning Christine i begyndelsen af 1500-tallet.
Hør om Odenses rådhus og om byens centrale torvepladser, Flakhaven, Albani Torv, Fisketorvet. Hør om torvehandelen og om hvordan bebyggelsen omkring byens rådhus indenfor byportene har forandret sig igennem tiden.
Hør om nye Odense. T.B. Thriges Gade blev anlagt for at skabe bedre forbindelse til Odense Havn og i et halvt århundrede delte den Odense i to. Med lukningen af gaden og med ny bebyggelse er byens helhed genskabt. Nu er der mulighed for at opleve Odense i en nydannet og harmonisk helhed – af gammel og ny bebyggelse.
Eller få en byvandring i Thomas B. Thriges fabrikskompleks (Thrige-firkanten). Vandringen begynder med en introduktion til Thomas B. Thrige og den omfattende industriproduktion, som han grundlagde og udviklede i Odense.
Eller en byvandring i området ved Brandts Klædefabrik. Fabrikken var en af flere store klædefabrikker i Odense. I dag er det Odenses latinerkvarter, med butikker som sælger kunst og brugskunst, et stort kunstmuseum og et meget levende café-miljø. Få en rundvisning incl. den flyvende udstilling – der handler om klædefabrikkens historie.
Eller en rundvisning på Odense Havn. I slutningen 1700-tallet blev det besluttet at grave en fem kilometer lang kanal, så Odense kunne få en havn. I mange år var Odense havn en af Danmarks travleste industrihavne. Nu er det indre havneområde forandret med nybyggeri og ombygninger af industrihavnens bygninger til boliger, erhverv, service- og kulturformål.

Få en byvandring i Odense med fokus på H. C. Andersen og hans samtid. Byvandringen egner sig til at kombinere med besøg på H. C. Andersens Museum eller barndomshjemmet i Munkemøllestræde.
- DEN FYNSKE LANDSBY (1-2 timer) – entré
Få en guidet tur i Den Fynske Landsby. Oplev det fynske landsbymiljø, som det så ud på H.C. Andersens tid o. 1850. På en rundvisning i Den Fynske Landsby besøger vi landsbyens gårde og huse, møllerne og skolen. I den fynske landsby er der fokus på bæredygtighed med udgangspunkt i en tid, hvor selvforsyningsøkonomi og knaphed betød, at intet gik til spilde.
- EGESKOV 1-3 timer) – entré
Få en guidet tur på Egeskov. Mærk historiens vingesus på Egeskov. Oplev slottet, som er en af Europas bedst bevarede vandborge, få en rundvisning i slottets smukke have eller en guidet rundvisning i nogle af de forskellige museer, som findes i slotsparken.

- ODENSE CITYWALK (1 – 3 hours) Guided cultural city walks in Odense. Get the history of Odense. Stories about the buildings and squares in the city, the churches, monasteries, schools and about the locals. Get the story about old Odense. In 980 a huge circular Viking-castle was build near River Odense. The important market town was from Middle Ages protected and guarded to secure and protect privileged crafts and trade, and to ensure efficient collection of taxes. Therefore, access to the market towns was controlled and regulated by guarded city gates. The city had a limited extent and a limited population compared to present-day Odense. Odense Cathedral is one of Denmark’s most magnificent churches. In the crypt you will find King Knud’s sacred bones and more royal tombs. In the choir you will see the famous golden altarpiece, commissioned by the Danish Queen Christine. Odense City Hall is located in the middle of the city’s old center, Flakhaven and consists of an older and a newer part. Experience the town hall and the old squares. Hear about the old markets and how the place has changed over time. Get the story about new Odense. How the city changed when a four laned traffic road was build dividing the City in two for many years. But recently the road was closed, and a new city area build connecting the divided city again. Get a guided tour in Thomas B. Thrige’s factory area. The tour starts with an introduction to the local industrialization in the 19th and 20th century, on the tour in the old factory area you’ll get the story of Thomas B. Thrige and the production he founded and grew in Odense. Get a tour in the clothing factory, Brandts Klædefabrik. The factory was one of many clothing factories in Odense. After the area was restored in the 1980s, it has been a place where local citizens love to take part in workshops, go shopping in small art-shops or visit one of the nice restaurants or a café in the area. Get a tour in the area and hear the history off the clothing factory, Brandts Klædefabrik. Odense is not a coastal city and did not get a harbour before the early 1800s, when the five-kilometer-long Odense Canal was dug. A lot has happened since. After working as one of the busiest industrial ports of Denmark for more than 150 years, the old port is today being transformed into a new exciting area with modern constructions, canals and a budding cultural life.
- H.C. ANDERSENS FOOTSTEPS (1 – 3 hours) Cultural city-walk with focus on the famous fairy tale writer Hans Christian Andersen and Odense at the time he lived. He was born in Odense and lived in the city for 14 years. This tour is designed to combine with at visit at H. C. Andersens Museum and/or his childhood home in Munkemøllestræde.
- THE FUNEN VILLAGE (1 – 2 hours) entrance fee Experience the Funen Village. A Museum with old buildings established as a village looked in H.C. Andersen’s lifetime, in the 19th century. During our tour in the village, we’ll visit selected houses, farms and mills. And you will hear about the village life of that time.
- EGESKOV CASTLE, PARK AND MUSEUMS (1-3 HOURS) + entrance fee Get a tour of Egeskov. Feel the poignancy of Egeskov’s history. Experience the castle, which is one of Europe’s best-preserved water castles. Get a tour of the castle’s beautiful gardens or a tour of some of the different museums located in the area dedicated to the castle.
